Open Trench Method

Open trench method of sewer installation is used when installing a new sewer line or redirecting a line into a new location.  It is simply digging a trench or ditch and laying pipe in it.   The pipe will run from the stub at a home/building connecting to the city or county main at the other end.  It is the most invasive method of installation in the yard or street but the only way in some cases.  It requires backfilling and some form of restoration.
